I was looking forward to this holiday, but I had no idea what to expect about Disney and rides. I said to dad I wanted to keep away from "Viking" type rides like the boat at Flambards. Dad said Flambards is a world apart and to be ready for a shock!
Sounds like I do not need quiet time, dad said we will chill in parks, not racing from one ride to another.
And sounds like we will have a pool nearby to relax at too.
The only downside is the travelling, but I am enjoying the TV on plane, iPad games and chatting. I got to play games on the moving walkway as we were in queue for Orlando flight.
So the journey involved taxi to train station, sleeper train where we had drinks in lounge car first. Then off train early for aIrport bus. It was so early at Reading station that station was closed. Luckily dad tried the roller shutters at Airbus area and they opened. Quite a few people waiting outside for bus and a lot looking to get into station.
Oddly we flew opposite way than we needed to, we ended up in Frankfurt to get a flight to Orlando. Airport was nice,
We ate, I found the Berlin Wall (twice) and Foxy stole dad's drink.
Dad said I could take Foxy and Snowy or blankly and Foxy. Any combination, but not all 3. I got blankly packed then took both toys. Win!
Flight to Orlando was long, played on iPad, got fed, slept and read. Was OK. Then when we got off plane we had to get train to terminal with luggage. There was a convenient conveyor belt system to send baggage to other end, so we used it.
We got to baggage area about 5 minutes later, baggage turned up after 75 minutes! Should have taken it with us, others didn't as they didn't see conveyor. Dad said it wasn't worth waiting for, so we went for car rental where there was big queues. By time we got car sorted, our luggage was going around on it's own!
We stopped at supermarket just before villa and walked around like zombies. Was good though to wake up next day with breakfast sorted. The cereal I picked is very nice. Dad was worried as most are too sweet.
It was such a long journey, but dad's idea worked well. I wanted to know how long each part of journey was. He said just chill and enjoy it all unraveling. Without clock watching, I had fun during the day as events unfolded. Even case pulling was fun. Noisy too!
Dad had explained to me re villa layout, but it was even more amazing! I have a room with 2 double beds, my own bathroom, massive TV and there is a balcony off the lounge. Dads room even bigger and bigger bathroom. All on Disney land, next to theme parks. We can see Disney Springs across the lake.
Dad's phone broke before rugby tournament I played in so lots of hassle before holiday but has a replacement while his gets fixed. It's an iPhone 5s and I have my eye on it! They may sell him it cheap when his sorted. I could then use to chat to friends and play games. . .
In duty free dad got an Apple computer as it shares info with phone and old one is too slow. He can work out how to use Apple while I play on my iPad!
Apartment has free wifi and so do all the theme parks, restaurants and shopping areas. Very good.
