Managed to escape the clutches of Australia. We've had a fab time - but it was so time to move on. In Auckland for a couple of days to sort ourselves out - pick up a camper and head out onto the open road. It's cold.....Blimey. We've not seen a radiator since we left the UK - let alone used one! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.........Back in lovely Sydney. It's defo a home from home and I feel at peace all of a sudden. Shame that we're not here longer (fly out tomorrow) but as we extended our trip by about 2 weeks - we must crack on and see some more of the world. I love it here! Anyway - just a quickie update. Been in Cairns for a few days now. Decided that we needed some serious R&R before heading to NZ - so alas we didn't make it to Airlie Beach or the Whitsundays. We were hoping to do a spot of snorkelling on the Reef and see some gorgeous beaches here - but shock horror! the weather is pretty bad up here. Hello all, So - after about a squillion hours on a coach over the last few days - we're finally back on the coast in Townsville. Blimey - that was hard work. We have finally left the comfort of Brisbane - and we're now inland - in Outback Australia. We passed very quickly through Toowoomba - and questioned why we had decided to do the leg from Bris to Cairns this way. But - we decided to carry on and hoped that things would get better.
