Hello Everyone,
Im so sorry its been so long since i last wrote. I E-mailed STA travel and it seems that the website was down for a few weeks as they updated the site. As a result im so far behind and im coming towards the end of my trip.
So here is a condenced update to bring you guys upto speed with my where abouts!
from the mountains we vistited Amitsars golden temple, Agra' Taj Mahal and skipped around rajethan on a whistle stop tour of the highlights for two weeks. after a camel safari in Jailsamer we set off on a two day train to Vananassi where we stayed for a few nights and visited the ganges river for the burning of the bodies. our last stop in India was Kolcutta where we caught our flight to Bankok from.
We landed in Bangkok Thailand on the 24th June which was a total shock to the system. we spent a week in bangkok where we celebrated hugos birthday in style and met up with Madi who is travelling with us until our flight home!
after Bangkok we headed north to Chaing Mai where we rented motorbikes and rode into the mountains to see Elephants and beautiful waterfalls. After a few days we got another night Bus south to bangkok where we caught another night bus to the port on the south side in the province of Surat thani. from here we caught a morning ferry to the Island of Ko PhaNang in preperation for mikes birthday celebrations on the 7th July and for the legendary Full Moon Party on the 9th July.
These parties did live up to expectations and we all enjoyed some fansastic nights at the worlds biggest beach party.
Yesturday we got a 2 hour ferry north to an even smaller island called ko Tao. Its supposed to be one of the best diving and snorkelling destinations in Asia if not the world, but unfortunatly all weve had is rain and storms. This made for a horrific ferry ride and zero visibility for snorkelling!

Hi there,
In the jungle at a place called Kao Sok National Park, its absolutely awesome... staying in tree houses in the depth of the jungle and right by the river. Again, the rain is stopping us from doing things so we've just been in and around the jungle hut camp playing cards, reading and playing backgammon! The staff are friendly and the food is good too so not too worried! On the first day we went tubing down the river on lorry tire inner tubes which was hilarious. stopped half way to swing from the cliffs into the river on a rope swing which was classic.
Heading back to bangkok tomorow afternoon on the night train then spend the day doing some last minute shopping until our flight back to Kolcutta at midnight. Then its a day or two on an express train west across to Delhi where we board our return flight to heathrow Via Kuwait arriving in the afternoon of the 24th!
Hope this site is working properly now!
