Day 1 - I arrived in Singapore are 2:40 and waited for Eleanor until 4:30, was okay because I just had Starbucks which is very cultural of me! Once Ellie landed we took the sky train from terminal 1 to terminal 2, where we took the East West line MRT to Terah Menah where we changed to the North South line to Clarke Quay. We have some difficulties on the MRT because of our large rucksacks on our backs. Although on the upside lots of kind people where offering their seats! Changing at one platform Eleanor and I got off the wrong side of the train, we got off onto platform A instead of platform B. So we darted back through the open doors of the train where two older tourists laughed at us, especially when the train didn't leave for another 5 mins! We got off at Clarke Quay and walked about 6 mins to the hostel where we then had to climb four flights of stairs! Eleanor and I then dropped our bags off and went for a walk around a buzzing hub of bars and restaurants where we sampled the rare cultural cuisine of a slice of pizza (keeping it safe the first night ;) )
