good'ay my friends,
i have done so much since i left Melbourne last week, weve been to Adelaide which is a cosy little city n chilled out, we spent 4 days here n rocked away on Australia day (the day when settlers come to Aus 200 years ago), these guys know how to party it-up, so had a messy 1 that night, drunk more ale that 1 man should n polished off about 2 hungry-jacks (burger king back home), only to wake up the next morn n realise id spent a mint, never mind a good night was had.
We spent our days in a cheap hostel called Adelaide backpackers inn for $22 a night, we met some cool dudes there, 1 being a Aussie called John, this fella had is own sheep farm in NSW n from the moment we got chatting to him he was a legend, we checked out Glenelg beach on the tram from the city centre, a quality place n got to see englang get once again another whooping in the cricket (can anybody let me know why we are playing arse), me n john decided to jump ourselfs off the pier instead of being cowards n dipping our toes, off we went with a splash, after our baywatch scene we joined the locals playing a game of beach cricket, so that day was cool, we then said adios to our new friends once again n decided to chill before our train journey to Perth, so decided on going the cinema, we watched the worst film ever made, (Epic movie), i could have had me some power snooze watching this, so that was our visit to Adelaide for now.
Sunday evening and time to set off for Perth, we boarded about 6.40pm on the Indian Pacific, this beauty was the longest thing id ever seen, we where travelling on the longest piece of straight traintrack in the world so fancied upgrading to a sleeper cabin n was informed that it'll be $700 each (give that a miss then mate!!!!), so we had our little chair for a bed/seat, before we set off the crew and captain introduced all his staff the blew his whistle and sounded off - ALL ABOARD, it was cheesy as but funny, our cabin was cool we had tv's, diner carts, chill out rooms, showers all the trimmings really, the 1st night i tried every angle in the book to sleep n it just was'nt happening, i wanted to sleep on the baggage rails but ellie said no cause id fall out, some quality snooze to be had id thought, day 2 we just watched more movies n stopped at a little point in the middle of nowhere called Cook, it was booming when the railway was being built but after people didnt need to stay apart from 4 people, its something like a western, very quiet, very dry, n a population now of 7 people, back on the train n carried on to Kalgoolie, now this place was a bit bigger, its a gold mining town which has titty-bars, loads of pubs n other stuff, these miners spend all there hard earned cash here, due to there being nowhere else to spend it, we met a dude from Japan n a Aussie girl, we had a few ale's because the train stopped for a few hours, so day 2- night and only got about 12 hours to go (yyyeeeeessss), that night i found a dream sleeping position and slept like a dream (well considering i was on a train), day 3 in the am (because the captain thinks everyone wakes at 6.30am - sounds off on the intercom), i had a bit of brekkie n just checked out the scenery before rolling into Perth east station, we jumped off the train n some guy was advertising some digs for $17 a night (bargain).
Our 1st day in Perth we set out for some work, our budget is running dry i must say, we fired our name in some agencys n got the job paper, this place has loads to offer but you need tickets for most of it (green cards etc), that night the hostel was having a party, so me n ell got steam boated again !!!!, the next day off we went again to find us some graft n this time got us something, well 4-6 weeks on a vineyard lol, $16 hour, hey works work aint it !!!!!!, its 5 hours south from Perth but our digs are on the beach so graft all week then chill on the beach, its 8 hours+ a day but in the 35-40 degree sun each day might work me pretty hard, (mam this would be your perfect job i know you like a dabble of wine now n then lol), anyway like i said work is work n if we save a few bucks bonus,
Ok my friends, starting my job this friday so will inform you of how its going, chow for now !!!!.
