Hello from Graet ocean road,
This road trip has been cool, we set off from Traralgon sth on monday, we where heading for the start of great ocean road which runs past the most scenic views in Aus (Torquay 2 Warrnambool )or so they say, we picked a perfect day for it with the weather being about 38 degrees (perfecto) and the beaches are like something out of a travel mag, the most impressive parts are between Torquay & Apollo bay, and then the road travells inland untill it ends at Warnanbool (not sure thats spelt right), there is loads of places to stop and take pics, have a beer, or a bit of swimming etc, we stayed in a caravan park about 30km inland due to everything being fully booked-up, our 1st day we done a bit of trekking around the fly-tree top walk, its a man made tower in the middle of a forrest about 50 metres up, its cool views n about 3 km walking ($20), but a change to the things weve been doing, the weather was beating down on us but being English i was lapping it up lol, im i bit funky when it comes to hights considering iv just done a 12.000f skydive im still a bit fruity when im high up, these structures wobble a bit so it was a slow pace around the tree-canopy , from there we stopped off at a few local waterfalls where you can go for a dip, stroll about or whatever floats your boat, on the way to the waterfall there was a massive snake on the track just basking in the sun, we soon shiffted when we realised it was in front of us, and also when leaving in the car we come across another on the road, so we took a few pics and left it be, i think it was a brown snake which can give a nasty bite and fatal in some cases, so we didnt give it any trouble, the next day we visited the 12 Apostles right along the coast, they are impressive n got loads of pics, i gonna download them but the uploader takes ages on some comps, but iv got loads to show ya's just give me about a year lol, anyway from the 12 apostles we checked out some california redwoods (the worlds biggest trees) these where cool just the shear size is impressive, the weather is a bit funky also, its was glorious sunshine about 38-39 degrees and it just started to hailstone, im no weatherman but cant get my head around that 1 lol, so the last day we finished off the road and headed back for Traralgon south, the road trip was quality and totally enjoyed it, there is backpacker spots dotted along the coast so make sure you book first because its well popular, the best way to do it is get your own transport and stop when you want, alot of tours do cheap deals but still you have the freedom to chill if ya want etc, so we back home and planning to go to Perth, Adelaide, alice springs, sydney and most of the country, we decided on the Great southern railway pass that allows hugh travel distances for a very cheap price ($590) and thats 6 months, the amount of use you can get from it is well worth it, so once again our itinerary has changed, but its all good,
Sooo long for now dudes !!!!!.
