wow how good are the Whitsunday islands !!!!!!!!,
Just got back after 3 days sailing and iv had the best time ever, we left Airlie beach sat with the finest weather to board our Wings boat along with 23 others, we started of with a few briefings as you do and then we where at cruising for the 75 islands of the Barrier reef , the boat was stunning, loads of space to move and chill, staff where friendly as you would hope for and the sun was beating down - perfect really, our hosts Stu, Kylie,Billy and Dave introduced them selfs and introduced the Whitsundays and where we will be heading, Stu was a right laugh from the start, all 23 passengers where sound, from all different backgrounds and we all got along really well, a good bunch of dudes, we sailed for about 2 hours to our 1st dive, we where all eager to see the Barrier reef as you can imagine, we got rigged up and splashed into the deep to find an underwater world of every colour in the book !!!!!, fish, coral's the lot right infront of us, its hard not to shout out when you see something cool but i almost did a few times, i aint dived the barrier reef so its amazing that we where doing just that, we spent about 30-40 mins the 1st dive but you could snorkel till your hearts content - as i did !!!.
We finished our dives then back to the boat for a warm brew that billy had prepped, we had some snacks and headed for the spot to anchor up for the night, when we got there it was tea time and what a treat, BBQ tucca, salads, and so much more quality food, afterwards we slipped out the beers and played us some guitar under the stars then bed at about 11-12 ish.
Day 2 we had some dive sites to visit and a beach to visit, like i said there was 26 of us so we got a few games going, Stu had the camera so check the pics of us doing funky stuff, we had a few games of rounders and a dip to cool off then back on board about dinnertime, Billy had snacks & brews awaiting once again (legend), we then headed to some dive sites, on 1 of them it was the best of the trip, it was extra clear visibility and warm waters so we took a load of pics, so really all i can say is quality for diving, snorkelling etc etc, end of the day was topped off with a slide show of all the pics and tea before some snooze as we where cream-crackered after getting up 6 am for the sunset, on the last day we managed to get some brekkie into us then 1 more dive before heading to the port. The trip was so good i wouldn't change a thing, the quality of the trip was 5 star in my eyes, the crew made it relaxing and a laugh, anyone not booked there trip should go with Wings, the weather was cool also, it only rained on the way back, the water was pretty choppy also, a few pale faces around, all it would have taken is 1 to barf then all would have let loose, thankfully no one did !!!!, the food was spot on also, there was so much of it and all good gear, i loved this trip its 1 of the best iv done since iv been traveling, a big thanks to Wings !!!!!, we are heading off tomorrow getting closer to Cairns where we will be heading to Asia for our next adventure not before trying white water rafting 1st its meant to be scary and a quality buzz !!!! - lets roll baby.
