Finally on the east coast heading up to Cairns, we left Sydney Tue afternoon & headed for Port stephens, its 3 hours north and the port is actually 3 times bigger than Sydney or so i was told ?, we spent 2 days here just checking Nelson bay (dolphin capital of OZ), there is resident dolphins just chilling around the bay for all to see (i seen a grand total of 0), after fish & chips we had us a butchers around the harbour with all the fancy boats standing proud, the second day i headed for Shoal bay where the Tomaree lookout is, the weather was perfect and after the 1 hr trek up the hill it was well worth it, the views are classic !!, the whales have started heading north to have their calfs and around 8.000 can be seen in a season, i didnt see any, a bit early i think but still the views compensated, weve been staying melaleuca backpackers in the woods right next to samurai beach (nudest beach ), i wanted to have a stroll?for the?morning paper but ells have me worked right out lol, the bay has some stunning beaches worth a look if passing,?we only spent 2 days here but had a laugh in the hostel, we had a free bbq 1 night with the owners and there was 1 guy who was the double of Ron?jeremy, the porn star, i got me some picks of him just for you guys back home, he was a bit of a sausage?!!!?(no pun intended), so thurs evening we headed to Newcastle for the 11 hour?bus ride?to Byron bay where i am now.
Byron bay is a must stop?up/down the coast, its got a vide thats buzzing, surfing, party's, and the chill out on the beach after it all !!!!, everyone seems to be well up for the party scene,?me & ells r?going to Nimbin, a mini-amsterdam in OZ where people have discovered it and never left due to the chill-out vibe, shops dishing out the funky-herbs?etc, so sunday we will check it out, big game tomorrow manu v chelsea , ooohhh yeas its on like donkey-kong !!!!!,
