once again we are on a stunning island in the Perinthians, its about 1 hour boat ride from Kuala besut on the east coast close to the Thailand border, these island groups are among Malaysia's best and well popular with backpackers, there is 2 main islands which are visited most which are the small/large isles, the larger 1 is expensive with more gucci resorts as for the small you can find beach huts for RM 20-50, we stayed @ the lemon grass beach huts and it was sound, clean and the staff where really cool, you can walk across the island but we just chilled for the 3 days here, we did do a quality snokel trip for RM 40 each which is (5-6 quid) and that was 6 stops all around the island, it was amazing the corals where bright and we seen sharks and turtles along the way, it was cool as with some of the sharks about 2 metres, they where black tip reef sharks, i loved every min of it, so it was pretty much a full day trip and the spots we visited where as good as the barrier reef, we also seen loads of nemo fish, zebra fish and so much more, most of the beach huts do trips all for the same price with gear included, the water around the isles was a stunning turquoise colour, the beaches where cool around the isles but on the main beach there is crap all over just where lazy dickheads cant be bothered to put their rubbish into bins, it narks me it just makes the place so much better is people used bins, as for that the place was cool, im hoping the Thai islands are gonna be as good too, so 3 days on these islands and back to mainland and to Kota Bharu just south of the border and staying @ Zecks backpackers, a cosy little number with cheap digs and the lady who is running it is really nice , its another big town very similar to the towns we have seen before and will only wanna stay here tonight then trek through into Thailand for the next step of our journey, we kinda wanna avoid all the backpacker hot-spots due to the busyness it attracts but some of the island i don't wanna miss, i think we are just gonna jump on a train and head for Ko Pi-Pi on the west coast (its where the beach was filmed), maybe do some diving around here and plan our trip onwards, as for a plan its pretty much go and do what we fancy at the time, i think its the best way really, our flights run out Nov 15 so unless we pay for a flight home we will be heading to the U.K around then (maybe ??????), enough said now see ya later.
