WOW FIJI !!!!!. How do i start by explaining this amazing place in the pacific, ok i will start with arriving at Nadi airport 5am 12 days ago, we where tired and didnt have anyplace to stay for our 12-13 nights stay so needed to get our prioritys sorted asap (beer 1st lol), we walked through baggage claim and was greated by a band of Fijian locals sounding off and smiling away, i was instantly buzzing of the vibe, so after the morning wake up we where approaced by a lady bearing shell necklaces as gifts to welcome us to Fiji then she sorted us our 1st weeks stay which was another 5 hour boat ride to the white sandy, blue shores of the Yasawa islands, after the boat ride we got to our destination Nabula lodge where all we where to meet the most friendly happy people iv ever met. Day 1-7 we jsut chilled on hammocks because the boat ride in where we sat at the back the full journey had given us a british-red tan so we where looking pretty fruity walking about, so after getting a normal looking colour we snorkeled in the clearest blue water, had lunch with a local family, had a cava night (its a root which is made into a mud-coloured water then a coconut shell to serve it up), the locals love this gear so we had a dabble and it was differant, i personally would have a beer anyday but as we where in Fiji lets roll !!. Day 7+ we changed island to mantaray which again was perfect with its beaches and the tucca was soo good, we only spent 2 days here and realaxed with loads of other peops we met on the way, so now we have come back to Nadi on the main land to spend our 2 final nights before heading for New Zealand for christmas and new yaer (i cant wait) i totally miss being home with the family for christmas thou, anyway overall Fiji is to good to describe in a diary it has over 300 islands and soo much to do here you can easy spend a few bucks and many days here, the people, food, weather is perfect overall, even thou the country is having probs with the army/goverment its a shame to think its affects on tourism, i knew before coming and desided to stay on the islands west of the main land and i wouldnt change a thing, its been just short of 2 weeks without telephones, internet, banks but thats whats made it cool just on a island enjoying this cool place with elli and all the friends we met, the prices for digs and food is very good, we managed to get all meals and private room for $45 Fijian which works out 15 pounds and the food was quality i wanted to bring the chef with us (langy-legend). Fiji is a cool place to visit and i would recommend it to anyone, its beaches, people are amazing, its been the best place we visited up to now and hopefully it gets better along the way, we will update in New Zealand good byeeeeeeeeeeeeee all.
