Hey everyone,
So after last week's essay I'm going to keep this blog short.
I started the week with attending Taekwondo. I have only been the once though as I have not been paid yet and that was the free class. The teacher speaks English quite well and I'm hoping to go back next week.
Teaching has gone a lot better this week and the kids have seemed more engaged, although I did annoy my oldest students by sitting them boy-girl boy-girl on Friday to try to get them to behave better. One of the co-teachers even complimented me on my teaching which was nice. They have also been giving me some advice which is helping. I think I am improving.
Thursday evening I decided to try and find another mountain to hike and there was a trail behind one of the churches here. It has the stations of the cross carved in rocks going up it and then at the top is a cave with a beautiful shrine to Mary and wonderful views over the town. There was a real feeling of sacredness about it.
Friday evening was Ostara/ Vernal Equinox (hope you guys managed to catch a glimpse of the eclipse) and I celebrated the height of spring by buying some vegetables from the market and dying eggs pretty colours. It worked quite well.
Saturday I met up with some friends in Ulsan and we went to the Taehwagang park, one of two large parks in Ulsan which was right next to the river and the walk along it was beautiful. We then went shopping and went to an Indian restaurant called Namaskar for a curry :).
Today I walked along the river in Eonyang which was also very beautiful and it was lovely to see the birds along it. The weather here has completely transformed over the past week - it went from the minuses in early - mid march and dressing in gloves and scarf to 20 degrees this week so I've been out in a T-shirt.

I don't yet have my ARC (alien registration card) card although a lot of other teachers got there's Thursday or Friday so I expect it will be at my elementary school by Monday. When I go in there on Tuesday I need to get it and create a bank account the same day as its my first pay day on Tuesday. I'm hoping I can get it set up in time or I don't know when I'll be paid!
