So this is our last blog entry - wierd that we will be at home tomorrow!! Really devastated to be leaving but we can't wait to get home.

Since the last time we got in touch we have watched Ireland lose in the rugby game - getting absolutely soaked in the process!!

The next morning after the rugby we caught the ferry to Picton where we finally did laundry and cleaned the van! Everyone that kept walking past was very impressed at our motorhome!!

We drove to Havelock to go to The Mussel Pot - which is one of the best mussel resturants in the South island - and it was - Mussels steamed with white wine and garlic and one with blue cheese - definitely our favourite!

We then drove to the Abel Tasman National Park where we did one of the shorter walks around the coast - using our walking boots (finally)!

Then we drove down the West Coast to Fox Glacier where we did a full day hike on the glacier - absolutely amazing!! Not actually that cold!

We stopped off at Queenstown for an evening - really good place to go out!

Then we started our drive to Milford Sounds - breath-taking scenery - can't really put into words how it looked - you'll have to see the photos when we get home!

After that we made our way across to the east coast aiming for Christchurch which we got to eventually - did have one absolutely nightmare day - got the van stuck in a ditch and having to get it pulled out by a local farmer with tractor - oh the shame!! and losing the end of the chemical toilet down one of the waste dumps - I never thought my arm would go into such a place!!

We got to Christchurch yesterday and dropped the van off safe and sound! (did neglect to tell them about the tractor pulling the van out by its axil!) and then we checked into the hotel. Thats where we've stayed - went out for dinner but then came back - well past our bedtimes! We're about to go and get some lunch and then check out and go straight to the airport!

Flights are apparently all OK - touch wood!!
