Today we took the bus to the Argentina side of the Iguassu falls. Much wetter day so glad of silly looking waterproof when looking over the falls (even if we looked like forensic investigators). Flew to the Brazil side of Iguazzu falls today, and baking hot in the sun! Left our luggage at airport and went to the falls where our quick snack lunch was pinched by small furry animal with striped tail right off the table!! The water level of the falls was lower then usual but fantastic sunshine to see rainbows in the water. Loads of butterflys. Really misty in Rio, but we took a trip upto see the Statue of Christ in the smog as part of an organised city tour with a very friendly guide. We could not go up Sugarloaf mountain though as the cable car was closed for maintainance from today (we should have tried yesterday)! Our first day in Brazil was really chilled, we walked the length of Copacabana beach, stopping for a fresh coconut drink along the way and watching loads of people playing vollyball or practacing football on the sand.
