Lazy start to day woken by donkeys calling. Views just as stunning over the Lake. After breakfast braved the Inka steps back down the hill which was a lot easier then going up, to get the boat back to the mainland. The boats here are really slow and go at a crawl but everything slows down at altitude. Hot in the sun during the day but cold in shade so constantly carrying more layers.
Copacabana, Bolivia is a real transit town with many travellers passing through to Peru or further into Bolivia. We had a fantastic lunch of trout from the lake (Matt's translated to Trout Shedevil!). Got on the bus again to La Paz, joining the transit through.
This bus journey avoids crossing the border again but in doing so has to cross a stetch of the lake where we all get out and onto small ferries while the bus is put on a barge boat to cross. Back on and onto La Paz. Views great over the lake but gets dull after a few hours of fields and mountains.
Booked into a posher hotel in La Paz the highest Capital city in the world and HOT SHOWER! In hotel now updating this before dinner. Matt is doing the photo bit while struggling with a cold he has picked up, Barr´s are definitly a lowland clan not made for altitude.
