Date: 18th November 2006

Russ: We got up at 6.00 today for the start of a very long and bumpy drive to Tupiza, we stopped for lunch at 12.00 and arrived in the town at about 3ish which was much earlier than expected thank God as it was hot and the roads in Bolivia aren't the best to be driven along.

This town is extremely small and we were only stopping here for the night before continuing on to Argentina. The hotel we stayed at was actually really nice with nice rooms. The furniture was made of cactus like in Uyuni and more importantly there was a telly in the room :).

The hotel had a pool so everyone made use of that straight away which was bloody nice, the cool thing about being in a tour of 30+ people is that we take over straight away and kick everyone else out of area haha. Steve the driver picked Mel up and threw her in and did the same to all the girls who came near the pool. 

After that the 3 of us went for a wander around the town which was really small and there wasnt much to do so we stopped at a pizza place for an early dinner, was nice food but there were so many flies in the restaurant which kind of put us off abit, after this we headed to an internet place. There wasn't much else to look around at in the town, not even any markets for mel to browse at haha!

We arrived back at about half seven ish and Matt and Mel spent there evening relaxing in their room as its the last hotel for 2 weeks, back to good old camping again haha. Matt and Mel went to bed about midnight as we did have to leave at 6.00 in morning while I joined everyone else at the pool drinking haha.  We were actually waiting for the bar to open and when it finally did, it was crap haha.

I finally got bored and went to bed, and Eraser was on the telly, not Arnies best film but a film in english is definately a bonus.
