We arrived in Malaysia after a 7hour train journey (with hardly any food!) We weren't in the best of moods and it was very late but Kuala Lumpar was still buzzing. THe first thing we saw in the busy city was a man walking to little monkeys on leads! I took a picture and i'm not joking I thought the man was going to KILL ME! Helooked at me with the scariest eyes and it REALLY FREAKED ME OUT! He wasn't requesting money or anything so god knows what his problem was!

We checked in to a lovely hostel and spent the next few days there. We strolled around the city, ate from weird and wonderful food stalls, saw the sights and went to the cinema a few times. As it is there wet season it pours it down all afternoon so we visited the cinema (pound a film and 50p popcorn) a couple of times!

After a couple of days we got a 7hour train and ferry journey to Penang (island near the north of malaysia). We stayed in a great hotel , for dirt cheapand once again visited the cinema, as well as eating and site seeing (the tmeples were so beautiful).

We then headed on to Thialand....
