after a long journey from penang we arrived in kuala lumpur and got a room in a top hotel for a tenner a night so we were well chuffed with that and it was right in the centre too. after we had dumped our stuff in the room we went into town and headed straight for the petronas towers, these are the tallest twin towers in the world now and u really cant beleive how tall they are until ur stood right underneath them, kua;a lumpur is worth a trip just to see these towers they are amazing and when they are lit up at night u just cant stop looking at them. along with the towers underneath them is the klcc which is the biggest shopping mall ive ever seen and as soon as we walked in erins eyes lit up and that is where we spent most of that first evening. the stroms in this part of the world are massive but they dont usually last very long so when one hit KL that night we took cover in a coffe house and rode it out then headed to chinatown for some snap! chinatown in KL is quality and the food was amazing and quite cheap after around 5 plates of food we were done in so headed back for the night. next day we explored KL a bit more they have a wicked monrail so u dont have to walk too much, that day the olympic torch was in the city so we went for a look i got right next to the little chinky fella who was running with the torch and stuck my camera in his face to get a right good photo but it really wasnt all that exciting that evening we headed for the KL tower where u can get a lift to the top to get a brilliant view of the city and the petronas towers at night it was really good after we headed back to chinatown for some more eating and left for singapore the next day, KL was a really nice city, not long till oz now
