I am sitting here in my boring, cold and dull office living vicariously through you guys ....it looks absolutely amazing what you are experiencing! So many of those pictures are breathtaking - really beautiful. I will be keeping a regular eye on this blog from here on...can't believe I have only just seen it now !
You both look really well and happy and I look forward to seeing more updates
Lots of love and keep safe

Hi Matt and Cath
Just updating ourselves on all your news. Sounds like you are having such fun. We miss you loads - hurry back to Cape Town! Winter is setting in, but still pretty mild and not much need for heaters yet. Erin still wants to know when your party is, Cath! Mom and Dad leave on their bush holiday next Thursday - think they are quite excited. I am hunting for schools for Erin for 2009 - how ridiculous is that. Constantiaberg not a guarantee....!
Must go, miss and love you

Hi Cath and Matt
A very happy birthday for you today, Cath!! Thinking of you today and wishing you many many more. Lots of love from Gavin, Lynne and girls. Silly question where you are now but do you know of anyone who might want their London flat looked after by the four of us from 25 June until about 2 July? We'll be over there for a little break, care of the Olivers, just before the Brighton Conference.
Lots of love to you both

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR THE 24TH CATH!!!!!!!
Hope you have a wonderful day filled with loads of memories and fun - hope you are somewhere amazing to celebrate this year!!! Take care of you and all the best for a fantastic year ahead. Your niece and nephew send their love and wishes - as do Sean and I. Have fun and we will drink a toast to you - from a freezing Cape Town!!!

James
James...checking in from the riveting (not!), well flowing traffic (not!), things happen and happen quickly (not!) city of Shenzhen, China. I can't wait to get back to Hong Kong before flying back to London! This site is such a terrific idea! Well done Cath! Sorry Matt, could only imagine it was your wife's organisation! You can be away from London but I can still get a dig in edgewise! Love keeping track of your adventures, I'm bitten by the travel bug big time! I continue to pray for your safe journeys wherever you be and whomever you share that particular part of the journey with.

Hey Bertrams!!
Your travels are sounding so amazing... I am very keen to get to South Am, Nix is in Peru at the moment, I think that they will be climbing Macchu Pichu in the next few days, if not today!
So, where is the next port of call? I am chomping at the bit, to keep up with your journey... Matt I hope the fish start biting more, we want to see a picture of a big one!
James is in China, but sends his best!
Look forward to the next episode in your travels
Loads of love

Hey Mr and Mrs Bertram! Loving the blogs and pics - I wonder what you are up to today? Have you heard that the Sharks narrowly lost the Super 14's title to the Bulls! Yes, it was an unexpected defeat in overtime of all things! I'm sure neither of you really care, not being Durbanites but hey, thought I'd share it with you ;-)
What else is in the news....the Madeleine McCann snatching continues to baffle everyone - I just hope they find her, the poor thing. Tony Blair will be bowing out soon-soon and a new era under Gordie will begin. Ummm...digging deep here....The Cutty Sark was gutted by a suspected arson blaze but can hopefully be restored and the ongoing saga of whether Prince Harry will go to war continues to bore us here in the UK. So, as you can see you really are not missing out on much!
Lots of love

Hi Matt and Cath
Great to see your wedding photos, it looked like an awesome day so it was a pity to miss it. Your travels look like great fun, I knew you could not resist doing some fishing whilst you were out there! Good luck with the remainder of your travels and keep in touch. We need to start organising our wedding in earnest so feel free to pass on some tips!
Cheers, Rich & Sal

Hi Cath and Matt
Looks like you are having an amazing time. It brings back wonderful memories of our trip to S america last year.
Enjoy the wine in Mendoza and try and get on the bike and wine tour.
