The glacier has a north and south face that occasionally join the land in the fore ground cuttaing the lago (lake)a in half... eventually the pressure of the water undercuts the land link creating an arch which crashes with an enormous bang and wave once every 5 - 10 years. Per this pic the remnants remain and there is sometime to go before the next join....
