Today started out as a reminder to always read your paperwork!! Matt and I were joining a city tour so that we can figure out what to do over the next few days. We didn't realize that the 9am start was actually from a place 30mins away until it was too late. It turned out ok though because they let us move it to the afternoon tour which was a better tour anyway. Unfortunately, we basically did everything we wanted to do around town while waiting for the tour, so the next few days will be spent doing not much except putting hand to face (beer included)
Quote of the day "I don't know what that is but I wanna eat it!"

I think we walked about 10kms today, that's how my feet feel.
We walked to the Christopher Colombus monument, built in 1888, which is a 60m tall tower with statue atop, pointing to the Americas. I'm not sure if it's supposed to but it sways when you're at the top, remember it's 124 years old.
The Sagrada Familia is the biggest, craziest looking, masterpiece of a building that was ever started. They've been at it for 130 years so far, hopefully it will be finished soon.
It is also according to Khara 'The ugliest building I've ever seen.' Fair enough.
Had some good beer and good food today which is half the reason we came here, so, back to the beer for me!

kathy How are the tapas?

MumC Sounds like you are having a great holiday - a pity the suitcase wasn't big enough (for me) or the weight limit a bit higher.
matkhara There are good tapas and some not so good, but we're slowly working out what's what. We keep ordering to many because we want to try them and end up totally stuffed full.
