Hi
My girlfriend and I are going on a nine month trip to Asia from the end of August. Our travel plans evolved fast after buying a globe in an antique shop in Berlin. I'm still amazed how fast my girlfriend travelled the entire world in just one cup of coffee and I'm glade that we got a bit more realistic about how far we can travel in nine month. At the moment of writing we're a bit stressed out about all the stuff we have to do before, especially renting out our apartment, but this morning The Renters On The White Horse finally showed up. It's also a bit stressful to arrange a trip into Tibet, but I'm sure it will be worse everything to see this rough and mistereous country on the top of the world. And talking about Tibet, maybe I should reveal our plan so far.
We'll start out with a big goodbye reception the 22nd of August. On the 23rd of August we'll enter an airplan to Moscow where we're gonna stay a few days before taking the Transmongolian Railway to Irkutsk. We'll arrive in Irkutsk four days later and after exploring Irkutsk a bit we'll continue to Mongolia. We almost can't wait to visit Mongolia after my girlfriend went to the Mongolian consulate in Copenhagen where she was sitting in backyard of the Consulate drinking coffee and reading her book while the very friendly ambassador was making the visa. After Mongolia, the trip goes to Tibet, hopefully with our new online friends Shane and Rachel. If everything goes as planes we'll end up in Nepal after Tibet. I've booked a one month course at Kopan Monestery where I'm gonna be taught in Lam Rim - the buddist way to enlightment. When we're filled up with nomadic lifestyle, rough hiking, buddist philosophy we leave to Thailand around christmas. I personally hope that I get the chance to become a padi divemaster. In the middle of February the final stage of our trip begins. We'll catch a boat called Haze and sail with them for three month, from Micronesia to Bali. That the end. We only have a long plane ride home from here.
