So that's it, another country done! I am quite sad to be leaving New Zealand, as i have really enjoyed my time here. It has been my favourite country by a long way! It is a bit of a shame to have spent our last day here in Auckland, as it is my least favourite place, but it still isnt that bad! It is, as i expected it to be, nothing more than a big city. There isnt much to do here but shop, or spend money to leave the city, which we havent done. We have met up with Laurie and Ed again, although Ed is currently away visiting family. We have also spent the last few days with Terri and Orban, who seem to be having a fantastic time.
Whilst being here i have gone to the cinema to watch 'shooter', spent a lot of time in supermarkets and got my hair cut and a barber college for free! It didnt turn out so bad, as i was used by the teacher to give a demonstration on how to give the perfect basic hair cut! We spent most of yesterday preparing our dinner which was fantastic. It was lamb curry, and was the one decent meal i have eaten since being here!
Four countries down, one to go, (not including Chile as we are only there for one night). The days are flying by, and with only 2 weeks and 6 days left, i dont feel as if i have any time left at all! Im really looking forward to South America, but i dont really know what to expect. I cant wait to join our tour of Brazil on saturday so i can find out where to go and where to avoid. We have got a lot of travelling to do before then, however. Three flights, one of which is 12 hours long, and an eight hour bus journey from Sao Paulo to Rio!
Goodbye from New Zealand, hopefully i will be able to update again from Chile, but if not, i'll speak to you from Brazil! Take care, thanks for all your messages. Mat x
