taus-UK-THAILAND-CAMBODIA-'NAM-LAOS-AUSTRALIA-BALI
hey hey, back in PP now, just got to a guesthouse after a reasonably safe and comfy bus journey from the south coast. had an absolutely unforgetable time down there, met great folk and this keyboard is rrrrreally starting to annoy me all the buttons keep sticking in so im wacking it with my poor fingers.they deserve better. went to the beach most days and most nights were spent just chillin around the bungalows and in the bar drinking and playing pool after sunset. just smacked a few more photos of my time there, including ones of wozza and nik, with whom i spent most my time with. and also palina, especially good to meet her over the last 3 days there!!! what a blinding looking gal, and for some reason she liked me too, which made for a great end to my south coast week. missing it alot already, cities are all just tooooo crazy in asia. get off the bus and u are swarmed with little men saying MOTO MOTO! U WAN' GESSHOUSE FREND? and my favourite way to deal with them was taking from my old chum ritchy boy, u just gota grab ya bag then when they get too close for comfort just put your arms in the air and shout mildly loudly AAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!! works everytime/ damn this keyboard. then they look at you strangely and back down. then u just choose the calmest looking dude, say where u wana go, -often u get info of other travellers who know a cool place to stay- and u go there. he says, one dollar, i say half dollar, he say 3000R (0.75 dollar), he say ok. arrived at a place called the happy guesthouse on the lake. great sunsets and a pier at the back going over the lake where u can sit and drink etc. 3US dollars a night, not too bad, couldnt really be arsed to find a cheaper room. as probably going to 'Nam tomorrow. anyway, everythings great, missing my beach life, but will be at another beach soon. life is good right now. no problems apart from mental stuff i need to block out like missing people and places. get on with it. so now gona go grab some food of a cheapo street vendor and then have few beers in the guesthouse over sunset and meet some new people, then hit the sack early before igota DAMN THIS KEPYTBOATRFD
before i gota wake up early for vietnam. ok, hope everyone is well, speak again soon. gona check the footy scores now, someone told me arsenal lost against west brom yesterday...not happy about this unhappy informative information so going to check it now... next time i write ill be in Saigon/Ho chi minh city, hopefully with better computers. cambodia has been unbelievably beautiful, yet very very poor and slightly disturbing.how many people in england do u see tanding to their cows on oxford street like they do in PP and how many of them have no legs beacause they were blown off? and how many do you see eating bloody spiders. just leave spiders be i say. delacacy my arse. im up for most things. but spiders and unborn bird foetus straight from the eggs not today thanks... i said not today thanks!! NO THANKS!!! (ARMS UP...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH) very few tourists, and not many more travellers, but it definately will get alot more touristy over the next 10/20 years so glad to see it now. very surreal country at times, the french colonised this place some time ago, think up to the 70's, and since they left, the architecture has just been left and abondoned, very strange seeing roads with old fashioned statues of women in full bathing suits, along tree lined boulevards, with big old houses just completely unused. most places are like ghost towns, but with cheap flights to asia and more and more western interest in cambodia, there are more and more delapidated places being rebuilt and soon to be holiday complexes. only 1 or 2 so far however. last few days i have just been driving around these old beach resorts, imagining what they were like 3 or 4 decades ago. hard to explain, but its kind of like imagining brighton, being evacuated, and then having a few third world country settlers taking it over, but leaving everything so it rots, and then making small beach huts along the beach, made of only bamboo and leaves, and having no cars on the roads, just a handful of crappy old motorbikes.
cool place though. anyway belly calling
