Have to go back a couple of days had forgotten how full on these thing are! We have been going at our own pace up till now . We joined the group in Lima 14 in total all seem fairly normal I guess.
Paracas instead of pisco cause of earthquakes or something. A little fishing town cute but not great. We are here to visit the Ballesta Islands. They are like something from Stephen Kings the birds and smell like it too! But an awesome sight. Penguins, seagulls, boobies, vultures and Pelicans in their hundreds. they cover the islands and fly by in massive flocks. Never seen anything like it. Not to mention the Sealion colonies rolling about and growling on the rocks. They are all unaware as we sail past snapping as we go.
We go to Nazca via a Pisco winery of course! All before lunch. phew! Next is the best bit. We stop off at some sand dunes and what better place to bounce about in a buggy up near vertical slopes, over humps and down again. I thought he was joking about the goggles! I also tried out some sandboarding, not as cool as it sounds when I only went down on my belly!
So Nazca and those line thingys on the ground. I was so knackedred I only went to the pottery, and mummy cemetry. I left Chris to go up in the plane over the lines while I tried out the net in the grubby town of Nazca. Patchumancha for tea, pot cooked in oven in the ground etc etc.
Arequipa white stone city and relax finally after my Alpaca steak. We had a nice day of Poncho coffees and a city view strangely it feels like being in rome or something here its so pretty. well up at 7 tmrw!
