Thanks for the update re the onboard facilities. I can imagine that life in the bars would be more friendly and enjoyable if you supported Italy. All you need now is a shirt or maybe that's already been purchased.

Recent blog and e mail has been passed onto Grandad. We managed to get to Chippenham last Tuesday and started the Elkins family tree. Very interesting but no murders or Royalty as yet.

We do intend to support Italy during the Euros and are looking for a bar to watch the first game Monday night. Toilet hasnt been tested as of yet but will be sooner rather than later i think. Wine consumption was just us two, Its mainly old Italians who like walking their cats on our campsite so not the greatest company to drink with.

Just read war and peace. Glad to hear all is going well (apart from the obvious problem). Can i therefore assume that the on board facilities were not tested during this period of belt tightning?? Was the wine consumption with others or just the two of you??

The hair cut was ok got called mister by a fat old bloke and tried 2 have a conversation with the 2 men. think he used a NO.1 round the sides and NO.2 on top but its when he got the long razor blade out and starting choppin more off the back!!!

Back to earth sadly so goodness knows what you two will feel like when the end of your trip happens. Thanks for the present Ash, they are lovely. Iceland was ....... different. Not a huge amount of greenness but oh boy a whole lot of volcanic stone. Unfortunately when we went to look for whales there was a force 10 blowing in the bay so they sensibly stayed out of site and probably laughed at the stupid folk braving such conditions. Food was fantastic but at a fantastic price it meant we didn't put on too many pounds.

Wonderful update on your travels Mike. Knew it wouldn't take long for toilet humour to appear. Hope a photo appears shortly of the new hairstyle Ash- we are taking bets on whether you need scalp polish or not.

Mark Wotte was basically unveiled as manager when Redknapp left but Lowe did a u turn and appointed Burley. Jan someone or other is the new head coach and apparently its down to lack of funds that saints have gone to the head coach route. Expect many senior player to leave! However from talking to a few saints fans and watching interviews it may prove a good move. Will update the blog in the next few days, off to the beach in a min after spending most of yesturday with a hangovers due to wine consumption.
