Hello Mary Beth & Claire from a wet Cumbria! It's been like a monsoon in Whitehaven over the past couple of days - houses flooded, drains bursting the pavements and schools closed because of the deluge of water! This weekend 16/17 June it's the Maritime Festival so I hope the weather brightens for all the visitors to the Tall Ships in the harbour, the aerial display by the Red Arrows, the flypast by the WWII fighter aircraft and the big fireworks display. Sarah plans to spend the day ther with some friends so she'll want the sun. Mum and I will be in Edinburgh walking our 26miles 385yard marathon so we want it dry for that too! Jonny will be at Gateshead representing Cumbria in the Intermediate Boys High Jump and needs a pb of 1.90m to qualify for the Nationals in Birmingham in July. Rebecca has been appointed as your successor at BCMS in Workington for the summer, so will have to live up to the high standards you have set there MB. Tiggy's having her bum fixed today (again!) and Chuck still hasn't laid any eggs. We visited Grandma last night and she sends her love and thanks for her postcard. Had an excellent BBQ with Granny & Grampy last weekend - we toasted absent family & friends! Thanx for all your messages. Hope you've found some great locations for the boys on Fiji. Lots of Love Dad XXX

Great set of pics girls. Sometimes it's difficult to believe you are half way around the world and all these digital images means that you don't have to cart you films around and we don't all have to wait until you get back and get them developed. We are wonderding if the places you are staying are turning out how you'd imagined them. Maybe you should have taken Rocky with you - he'd have loved the zoos...but no way katy would have let you.
Keep on posting.

Hello MB & Claire, I wonder whether you've been talent-spotted by the Hollywood film moguls during your stay in LA? Even if they didn't see you I hope you've seen all the other attractive sights in the metropolis. We're thinking of going to Monaco at the weekend to watch the Grand Prix - seem to have had a windfall in the bank account! (Just joking MB - we'll look after your money carefully, especially since you're struggling to keep tabs on your dollars). Missing you lots already at home. Give our love to Honalulu. Dad XX
