So today is my first day by myself in London, have just been for a look round the shops at Oxford and Regent St (most of which are well out of my price range). Went into Hamleys which is a massive toy store which im pretty sure has every single toy ever made. Would have been a little kids paradise, actually saw some kid who literally had to be dragged out of the store in tears, kicking and screaming beacuse he didn't wanna leave.
Did some more sightseeing yesterday, went to Madam Tausauds wax works which are amazingly life like. Lucky grandpa didn't go there by himself, pretty sure he would have started talking to one of the statues...Got some good photos, but forgot to get one with Zach Efron. Devo. Went to Buckingham Palace after that and saw the changing of the guards, which according to the lady standing next to us went for too long and was rubbish. It was possibly a bit long/over the top but was worth a look.
Although we lost the cricket, the last day was prob the most enjoyable. Got all suited up for the occasion and for once didn't feel underdressed (the poms are huge fans of a suit/collared s*** apparently). The atmosphere at the ground on the last day was amazing, as was getting into the Members Pavillion. Stood next to Warnie, Clarkie and Lara Bingle on the balcony and had a beer in the Members Bar.
Thought I was bak at home smorning, walking down the street to the tube station, saw some Jewish bloke walk past me fully kitted out with beard, black coat and top hat. Ahh gota love St Ives...Also had some Asian guy stack it over my bags on the train and pretty much fall into my lap, def a highlight of the trip so far.
Gona go wander the streets for a bit now, waiting till Rolston and Langford get here, going out somewhere with them tonight.
Hope ur not missing me too much...How was Hilltop Em? Is there any snow for Kate? Gona try upload some photos now, see how that goes.
Love ya. xoxo
