I've had a nice time in Bangkok and met some really nice people on the tour... We are off to Chaing Mai on the overnight train tonight...

I saw the royal wedding on the tv... It was very strange seeing the wedding on soooo many channels over here... It didn't feel like I was in Bangkok while watching it.... The hotel here was nice and aircondioned... The food has been great here so far too.

The guide is good and friendly and speaks pretty good English. He has tried to teach us some Thai.. None of us have caught on too well...

Went out with everyone on the tour last night... And went to the Grand Palace and a couple of temples today...

I'm going to try and do an elephant trek tomorrow and should be able to go to a dinner and show in the evening... The day after that we'll have to go on two long local busses which should be interesting...

The traffic is crazy in Bangkok but most people here are very friendly... We've now been on a tuk tuk, canal boat and local busses as well as normal taxis...
