We have decided to stay in Hoi an for a bit longer and head straight to Ho CHi Minh, skipping Nha Trang as Hoi an as everything we need and its so nice here, save us a 12 hour bus journey to Nha Trang and then another 12 hour bus journey to Ho Chi Minh, decided to fly straight there for roughly the same price!! Much better!! Martin is back at the hotel ill at the moment, he has caught the flu, think way too much heat - you cant escape it, so hot everyday. Went to the beach again the other day, cycled again - this time it wasnt too pleasant, as half way along my pedal decided to fall off, luckily I had stopped sensing something, or im sure a fall in the middle of a very busy vietnam road wouldnt be nice. Walked to the beach and some nice man fixed it for me. We are going to catch a ride with a motor bike next time, not sure if thats a great idea either.
On the way back it was rush hour and it was crazy. There are no road rules out here, no right of way, and people just ride their motorbikes right in front of you, or just stop in the middle of the road for a chat - really suprised theres not more accidents. I was quite happy though, as in Vietnam they beep all the time to warn others their over taking or just because their impatient, but I had a bell on my bike, so everytime they beeped me I rang my bell back - revenge!!! Its always so nice on the beach, hopefully have a few more visits before Ho Chi Minh.
We have found some lovely restaurants on the harbour, and have come across the best bakery ever!! They serve massive cakes for just 1 pound each!! We were so excited because the one thing we have missed out here is chocoalte, its very hard to find in both Vietnam and Laos. Sure we'll have time for another one of those before we go!!
