We have had such an amazing time so far. Byron Bay was lovely, we spent a whole day walking around the coastal rainforests, around Byron bays headlands, which was beautiful, spotting all sorts of wildlife, including lizards and bush turkeys. The following day we took the bus to Surfers Paradise, which was completley opposite to Byron bay, much bigger, more buisnesses, much more of seaside resort. It was raining in the morning, but came out nice in the afternoon, so we walked over the beach, (beaches seem to be getting better and better) and then played some crazy golf, wondered through the malls and night markets, and watching many street entertainers.
We only stopped for one day, but was well worth a look. We then jumped on the bus again bumped into the friends we met at surf camp and Byron bay, and headed for Noosa, which is a beautiful town, and one of our favourites, so much to see and do. That night, we had drinks along the main street with some friends and the following day went to the Steve Irwin Zoo, which was one of the best days so far. The Zoo is huge and there are so many different animals and shows to see. We got to sit amongst and feed the kangaroos and walk through the rainforests with Koalas, we watched Bindi perform some songs, and the rest of the family put on a bird, snake and crocodile show, which was great. We also watched the training of the tigers and visited the wildlife hospital where we saw a turtle being operated on and a koala who was running around on the mend.
That evening we met up with some friends and had a nice dinner followed by some wine on the beach, bit cold but a really nice evening. Its our last day in Noosa today, and Martin enjoyed a few more hours surfing in the sea with the guys and us girls sat around realxing on the beach. Next stop is Rainbow beach and Hervey Bay where we pick up our car to start our travels to Fraser island, we have sent our licenses through so hopefully get to drive over the sand banks, cant wait.
