Kuala Lumpur has been a blast! The last day after the zoo we ate sushi, yeah! Also spotted our first cockroach running on the street when we walked to the monorail, yak! On our last evening there we went to a reggae bar dancing and had so much fun. It was our last night with the group all together and everyone enjoyed it, especially my dad!
The next day we drove some hours and arrived in Melaka in the early afternoon. Melaka was awfully hot, and the room only had a fan and no airco. Also the rooms were ensuite so we had to share some showers and toilets. We took a shower and a small nap. After that my dad, Ronny and I had a nice lunch and did some sightseeing. Among others we went to St Paul's Church, where where graves and tombstones of Dutch people. Really eerie, the oldest they got was about 49 years old, also there was one stone where except for the dad, all the members died within months. After the sightseeing we went to the movies. They're in English with Malaysian subtitles only, so easy to follow. We saw Babylon with Vin Diesel for only 1,70 eur. After the movie we spotted a sushi restaurant, mjammie.
The next morning we drove approx. 5 hours and arrived in Singapore. Our sweet friend Freya is working there at the moment, and took us out there by cable bar to the island Sentosa. The island was lovely, warm but not too much. We relaxed at the beach and ate our Subway lunch there. After we climbed a view tower, and after that went to an amazing laser and fireworks show. Later on we had dinner with my dad in Chinatown. Thanx for the terrific day Freya!!!
This morning we flew from Singapore to Jakarta, which took approx. 1,5 hours, not that bad. Jakarta is a bit dissapointing though. Filty, busy and chaotic. Maybe it's because we're tired...At 7 tonight we will meet the new group leader. Some of the Thailand and Malaysia tour will also be there, and some new people, I'm curious!
Tomorrow morning we're leaving at 7.45 again....
