Hey Girl! My goodness... your blog just gets better & better as you go! Love the stories & photos... what an incredible journey you've had! Too bad it has to come to an end eh?! Bet the trek was awesome... hope it wasn't too tough. The views that you got along the trail & at the summit are stunning as are your photos of the local trekkers with huge smiles on their faces! I feel as though I am there hiking with you. And what I wouldn't give to go kayaking with your group through that Bay... what gorgeous scenary! Your food photos are great... I find myself getting hungry checking them out (at lunchtime when I've brought a boring sandwich for lunch)! However, I don't think I could ever tackle the ants dish, seweed flavored pringles or black chicken (unless I was fooled like I was with oysters wrapped in bacon or vegemite chicken dish in Australia)! Did Megan pack her tube of vegemite again this trip?! (Hi Megan!) Your postcard arrived today... thanks for it Maria! We read it while we were enjoying Nigel & my mom's celebration supper out at Tony Romas tonight. Winter has landed in Edmonton... we got 5 cm of snow... had to shovel last night... -9'C... took me over 1hr to get home from work yesterday as the roads were slick & people were very cautious but that's a good thing as there were many accidents. Roads are way better today & the city & Fred Gill were out working hard. My dad shoveled your garage pad & there's a surprise in your fridge awaiting your arrival home. Have a safe journey home buddy. Sports update: Esks won (a fantastic game) vs. Calgary so semifinals in BC here we come! Can you tell I can't wait till you come home. Miss ya & will see you soon!

Hi Maria, I am thoroughly enjoying your blogs and great pics. You make me want to travel again. Enjoy the rest of your travels and have a safe trip home.
Cheryl
Hey Maria, sounds like you are ready to come home from your last post. Hope your cough is not interferring with your enjoyment of your trip. The kayaking pics were amazing. Guess we should have a good cup of coffee waiting for u. Still no snow here and it was +12 yesterday. Fabulous weather for Nov. The Humbke's hosted the Nov birthday bash-was a great time. We'll have to have a welcome home Maria party, when u get back. See ya soon!

Hello my little adventurer! Looks like your smile is lighting up the world again. Good to see you having fun and I love the blogs and pics. Makes me want to go on an adventure. I'll try alsmost anything but I stop at the red ants and chicken. Come home safe. Gloria and I are seriously thinking of moving to St. John's. I'm packing up the house and Jasper and I are going back with Gloria for a 3 month winter experience.

Hey Maria & Megan! I caught up on your adventures & golly, you sure have had some terrific experiences! Your photos are fantastic! Looks like your cooking class was a blast! Can't wait to be your guinea pig! Kratz's arena passed city council, only 3 nos! Oilers on a 6 game winning streak. Esks won their Friday game in dying minutes (a real nail bitter!) & are now tied for 1st place... playoffs next up! New Zealand won the Rugby World Cup. No snow yet in Edmonton but Calgary got some yesterday. Enjoyed my work Christmas party last night - crazy to think only 50 days till Christmas!

Your photos are amazing as usual! The food looks tempting... (sometimes) Can't wait until your next pot luck! Perhaps you can whip up the dish you created at the cooking lesson! We are going to celebrate the Nov birthdays @ Monica's, we hope! Glad to see that you have been enjoying SE Asia. Love to see your smiles & looking forward to your safe return. MINUS 20 last night heavy frost but no snow! Enjoy the sticky heat!

Reading your blog with interest and reliving some of our experiences in Cambodia - great photos. We just got back from a wonderful trip to Peru. I think you would love that destination as well. We'll have to compare trip notes and pictures when you get back. Have a safe journey. Love, Rose and Herb

Maria, Have got caught up on your blogs and pics. Really enjoying travelling with u. We got back to Edmonton from Ontario last night to temps just above zero. I refuse to give up my flip flops though. Glad to hear the flooding in Thailand didn't dampen your adventure
