Hey,

First blog entry, bit late as have already been here for 2 weeks but better late than never!

Arrived in Sydney on the 11th and stayed with a friend in the eastern suburbs, 20 minute bus ride into the city and no $25-35 per person per night hostel charges! Pretty much just had a look around and took it all in, went into the city and wandered around for hours and hours in the 30+ degree heat. Spent a few days seeing the beaches Coogee bay, Bondi and Bronte, all beautiful with white (very hot) sand and clear water with some massive waves!

We flew over to melbourne on Friday 16th to stay with mum's friend for a few days. Did the same again really, walked around the city, spent a day at Sorrento on the peninsula with Elise + family - beautiful beach and some amazing views from Arthurs seat. Weather got very hot in melbourne so we HAD to spend some time lying by the pool and watching movies on the home cinema (hard life). Also went to see St Kilda beach which has a beautiful beach, nice bars, nice ice cream and lots of prostitutes all in one place!

Flew back to Sydney on the 21st in time for Marnie's birthday on the 23rd - spent the day on the beach in 36 degree sunshine and went out into Surrey Hills and Kings Cross for the night - lots of champagne and too much vodka!

We're staying in Sydney for Australia day tomorrow which is their independance day so there's loads going on, then will head off up the East Coast after that - not sure exactly where yet as that's what we're supposed to be planning now but i'm writing the blog instead!

missing everyone loads but definitely not enough to come home to your freezing cold weather!! haha
