Today is as the last couple of days.. pretty chill. Living in the town called Pushkar which is like 30 minutes from Ajmer. This is a really nice little town, about 20.000 people living here. Only thing you should look out for if you go here is the priests trying to give you flowers, "OOO its free... after.. oo you can donate whatever you want, some do 5000000 rupies.. and so forth.. its pretty stupid at times, if you want to do it agree on the price on forehand.. they are pretty pushy.
The whole city is concentrated around a lake in the middle, the whole city is cionsidered holy and its forbidden to eat meat or drink alchohol in this town. However at some places you can order a beer, but it never says in the menu. There is a main street which has it's typical indian stores of clothing, spice, suveniers and so forth. Good fresh pressed juice can be bought on the street and chai you can get anywhere and everywhere.
At the end of the street there is the Brama temple, only of its kind in INdia, history is pretty long but becasue Brama was cocky the upper god desided that he could only have one temple.
The city is surrounded by different mountains, a good hike is to go on top of them to see the sunset and sunrise,, very beautiful.
I am staying at Moon Cafe which is a really nice place with great atmosphere. I love it there.. At nighttime we usually just chill around the main table where we sit on madrasses leaning against coushins and play music. Its lovely. Some people stay here for months.
O yea, last night we saw a really nice dance show which is supposedly put up every Saturday,... worth a peak!
Today i am setting sails for Delhi, and staying there before my plane leaves for Bangkok at 00.05 on the 6th of March.
Life is good:D
Traveling wishes,
Markus
