So back to Jordan again with 20 pupils in tow. It's quite a different experience this time, I think I prefer it.
We have a cracking bunch of kids and it's amazing watching them explore and discover new things. It makes all the planning, meetings and stress pulling it all together.
This time we stayed in the Dana Nature Reserve. A beautiful guesthouse attached to the side of a mountain rock face. There was a roaring open fire to keep away the night chooks. It was heart warming to watch children without technology just sitting together spread over year groups playing cards and pictionary. An excellent drawing by Lisa earnt her the name Pretzl before we disintegrated into fits of uncontrollable laughter.
We headed into Petra today and the vastness of the place still blows the mind. For the first time a group of us climbed to the Monastry. Debbie and I shared a cup of tea on a high vantage point looking across Jordan's answers to the Grand Canyon. The perfect moment.
Now onto Wadi Rum!
