We are now in the northern city of Chang Mai. Have just arrived back from a 3 day jungle trek, very remote. Spent 2 night with the locals eating and sleeping with them. Also rode an elephant, jumped from a 6 m waterfall (very scary) and nearly got bit by a king cobra. There are banana spider the size of a small dinner plate.

Also spend the day in Burma and also crossed the border into Laos. Catching an overnight train back to Bangkok tonight, its a mamoth 14 hour journey on a old knacker, good fun though. We are then off to Cambodia for a week or so to explore the temples of Angkor (can not wait!)
