One thing we noticed last night was that San Pedro is pretty noisey and walls thin. Locals here seem to have the urge every so often to make some noise. There is a curious single firework explosion that has been following us around Guatemala. You here it normally in the morning or afternoon. Poor old Liz is trying to get the last bit of sleep but it is a losing battle with music playing and tuk tuks reving up the hill.
Yesterday we found somewhere better to stay at half the price overlooking the lake (see blog picture) at only 9 US dollars a night (a third the price of camping in Australia).
I imagined that Guatemala was going to be about relaxation and enjoying cheap living as opposed to rushing around. It certainly is like that at the moment.
