We had the nicest breakfast that we have had since we have been in SE Asia!! We then met our lovely tuk tuk driver who was going to take us around the Angkor Wat temples. We love riding in the tuk tuk!!
We visited many of the temples including Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Bayon, Ta Prohm and Preah Khan. They were incredible buildings that were built with so much care and in so much details. Many of the stones have some brilliant patterns and images and are still in great condition. The buildings themselves varied in conditions in that some were still perfect whereas others were falling down..literally! They were working on some of them to restore them. We enjoyed seeing them but found ourselves rushing them a bit towards the end purely because of the intense heat! We gave up at about 3pm and went back to the guesthouse! Our tuk tuk driver took us to each temple and waited for us in the heat! We felt very sorry for him and bought him drinks to keep him going! He certainly didn't complain when we called it a day!
Mark was chuffed as there was football on tv at a reasonable time for him to watch! We also had chance to plan our time in Thailand!
