Welcome to our new diary!

Hi everybody!

Welcome to our African Adventure diary!
This summer we will travel around Southern Africa, starting on the 18th of June 2008, when we'll fly to Cairo and spend our first week in Egypt. Then we'll fly to Johannesburg from where our trip really starts! By hopping on and off busses, we'll make our way through South-Africa to Cape Town, where we will jump on an overland tour from Acacia (http://www.acacia-africa.com/). Travelling on this huge truck we will go through Namibia, Botswana and end in Zambia at the Victoria Falls. The plan then is to catch a train all the way to Tanzania. This train takes a few days and goes through a National park so we could see zebra's, lions and giraffes along the route! In Tanzania and Kenia we're keen to see some wildlife.

On the 29th of September Blair flies back from Nairobi, while I will travel further through Kenia, where I hope to be usefull in a volunteery project. I will also visit some relatives and do some work for their beach resort. This is all a pretty rough plan, and as this is Africa, things will probably change every day!
