Our trip continues to Zimbabwe, and Victoria Falls, and I assure you, this should be on everyone's top 10 list of sights to see in the world. Don't want to get too mushy, but the sight of the falls with the rainbow arching through the water, really took my breat away, and made me all emotional, if it hadn't been for my well trained stiff upper lip, I think I may have cried.
The falls extend for around a mile, and there is a winding pathway opposite that you can meander along, and try and absorb the awsome beauty, and even with my below par camera the pictures are amazing. There is a fine mist of spray from the falls, that continually rains over you as you walk, and the walkway is like a mini tropical rainforest. The average temperature here is 39 degrees, so anything cool is welcome. But the health and safety is appalling, and on the Zambia side of the falls, we saw people going into the pools literally at the head of the falls, how they didn't get swept over I do not know!
Zimbabwe itself is gorgeous albeit quite arid due to the heat, and the Zimbabwians?? are so friendly and helpful, and always smiling. Not enough time here, I will definitely have to come back!
