My return to South Africa from all the excitement of Zimbabwe saw a turn for the worse. Firstly, I got food poisoning, then South Africa beat us at rugby, we saw very few animals at Kruger National Park (although it was still amazing), then on the way back whilst taking the PANORAMA Route there was fog and rain, so the so called 'God's View' was more like Salford's view, on a cold day in February. Next, on reaching Johannesburg I had developed a nerve infection on one of my teeth and had to have emergency root canal surgery - Who said travelling wasn't fun!!

However with all that hopefully taken in stride, and thinking this would be the end of my run of bad luck (wishful thinking methinks), I made a whistle stop tour of Singapore, then it was hold on to your horses for the full on India experience!
