David pops the question!

We finally did it, we got engaged. David proposed at the top of the sacred summit of Mauna Kea. Even though the temperature was less than 3 centrigrade, and he had shorts on, he still got down on one knee (slowly). It was a very special location, over 4000 metres above sea level, and we were the only two people on the summit (apart from a pair of japanese tourists, who took the photo for us).

The ring is a single half carat diamond, set in platinum, and it fits perfectly. Just paranoid about losing it now, so keep checking its still there all the time.

David has resisted telling me how much it cost, but couldn't resist telling me that he got it off Amazon, and that it was 80% off retail price, and that he also got a £10 voucher for spending so much!
