Hiya everyone!

So here i go again, ill try and start from where my last e mail ended so sorry for over laps etc

FRASER ISLAND

set off for fraser island from rainbow beach, 11 people in a hot and sweaty 4x4 with no air conditioning! Not cool! So the plan was to just explore the island on our own for 3 days, camping and generally roughing it with only a shovel for a toilet :op

spent the first day going up to indian head where fraser island was formed, it is efectively just a massive sand hill and the largest sand island in the world being the only place where rainforest grows on sand :D

next is was off to set up camp, we had a pretty gourmet dinner for camping, steak for the meat eaters and i had some crazy veggie burgers, it was pretty yummy tho :)

spent the rest of the two days exploring the lakes on the island and driving down the beach in the blazing sun, it was awesome driving down the beach! On the second night we had dingoes in our camp which are like vicious dogs but then some stupid drunk girls got our pan and put all the cuttlery in it and just started running after it shouting “go home dingo!” which is what we were supposed to shout aparently :op still it was pretty funny seen as it was there fault for burrying some fat in the sand anyway, fools.

Once back in rainbow beach it was sooooo good having a shower! We had pretty much been mucky for 3 days and i felt so clean afterwards!

RAINBOW BEACH

rainbow beach was awesome, the first night we were there the guy from the hostel, forrest, took us up the carlo sand blow which is just like a huge sand dune, it was so beautiful. The only bad bit was that we had to climb up the side of it where there were the tops of trees and stff sticking out of it, it was just about the most undignified thing i have ever done! Sand isnt cool to walk on anyway but with an incline its even worse!

There wasnt too much in rainbow beach, a couple of hostels, a supermarket, a pub but its been one of my fave places so far just because the atmosphere was great, like a big family, was pretty cool :) got called pup while i was there by everyone in the hostel, think its coz im little :op

HERVEY BAY

had to stop one night in hervey bay which was soooo lame! The only good thing was that there was a takeaway called bjs take away, hehe, sorry to anyone i just offended :op

KROOMBIT!!!!

this is a good one! We left hervey bay and drove about 6 hours inland to a cattle station at kroombit, it was pretty cool. First thing we did was go horseriding and muster some goats which basically involved shouting ye hah and “upbupbupbupba” quite a lot whilst trying to get very stubbonr horses to move. At one point i was trying to get my horse to move going “come on molly, come on sweetie” and then just as the instructor turned round i lost it and just shouted “f***ing move!” luckily she found it really funny and called me molly for the rest of the night :op

next was clay pigeon shooting which i was bob at, pretty fun tho :)

after that we did a goat rodeo, which involved running around after a goat, catching it, tipping it over and pretending to brand it, it was so funny! Sadly our team (the goat busters, ha!) lost misrably due to an error in choice of goat, was hilarious tho.

After that we rode the mechanical bull, i was rubbish at that but there is video evidence :op and then learnt how to crack a whip like real cowboys which was really hard and i still have a graze on my arm, the people were proper cowboys tho which mad me laugh.

AIRLIE BEACH (great barrier reef)

airlie beach was the next stop which is the gateway to the whitsunday islands and where all the rich and famous go and by houses.

I spent one day on one of the islands in a really nice 4 star (i think) resort basically pretending i wasnt a backpacker and being fed so so well, it was awesome! Then the next day i went sailing on the camira! First stop was whitehaven beach which has the whitest sand because it s almost 100% silicon, was pretty cool, sadly what was not cool is we now have to wear stinger suits up here because of all the jelly fish and stuff, v un cool :op and v unflattering! Then went snorkeling on the great barrier reef! Saw loads of cool fish, all different colours and they just swim around you like you live there too, it was awesome! The coral wasnt as good as it is further north and it was a bit murky because of the rain but it was still well funky!

MAGNETIC ISLAND

so now im in or rather on magnetic island which is just off the coast about 6 hours south of cairns, my last stop :( rented a little scooter so have been riding round on that crazy little thing for the past 2 days! It was well funky but i did almost run out of petrol, crisis was averted tho :op

went this morning to a koala sactuary and held a croc, a lizard, a snake and a koala, that was fun altho im pretty sure the koala was trying to dig its claws into my hear through my chest, still not as good as my friend who got abused by the little thing when it grabbed her boob, ha!

OTHER STUFF

saw a wallaby when i was walking round the hostel grouns in magnetic isle, thing was i wasnt sure what it was and then it started walking towards me so i got really freaked and ran away,ha!

Got abused by a curlew bird on south molle island in the whitsundays which was walking towards me and squarking then it started walking sideways and keeping its eye on me and they it lifted its massive leg up to its head and started squarking really loud so i ran away,ha!

Lost my phone in brisbane but got it back by chance which was so lucky, not the sorta thing that happens in england tho :op

ps met a girl on the oz bus who arrives into heathrow at the same terminal on the same day within 5 mins of me when we get back, from the other side of the world, small world eh? :op
