Wow!!! How slow are we?!

We´re very very very slow for not updating for so long but we´ve been on the move so much since we last wrote and that combined with ridiculously slow internet has made it really hard to update but we´re working on it now :)

We´ve now reached over 200 hours on our bus journeys and we´re finally in Honduras at the school in Cofradia. We did a whistle stop tour of Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua in order to get here in less than a week but it was fun along the way. We have seen lots of beautiful places like the Panama Canal and the coast of Nicaragua, and at the same time not so beautiful places (like the capital cities) and really annoying taxi men who like to rip off ´gringas´!!

It`s a while ago now but we had an amazing time in Cuenca in Ecuador. We were invited to lots of parties and joined in the carnival celebrations (we`ve only just dried out from the water fights!). It was good here because we saved lots of money staying with a friend of Maria and were fed for most of the week haha, although we did have some trouble with dodgy food after leaving Peru but further detail isn´t suitable for the blog (nice). We didn`t only party though, we also visited lots of national parks, scenery, water falls and many of the local communities in the mountains which you can see when we put up the photos.

Now we`re in Cofradia and have survived our first four days of teaching!! We didn`t realise what we were in for before we got here but along with five or six other english volunteers we`re almost running the school! It`s definitely a challenge but the kids are lovely (when they listen). The early mornings, lesson planning and daily serving of beans leaves a lot to be desired (it really is hard work) but it´s definitely worth and we´re having lots of fun. We`re definitely not going to be scared of cockroaches or any other bug by the time we leave this place though and cold showers are becoming the norm (feel sorry for us haha, we`re not joking).
