Hello from Sydney! Had a 5 hour delay in Singapore airport and then my driver didn't pick me up from the airport. But I arrived at my youth hostel and was greated with free drinks and a nightclub in the basement.........now that's more like it! Well finally here, I can't believe it. I've always wanted to go to Australia and its still not sunk in that I am across the other side of the world. I went and looked at the harbour Bridge and opera house and its so wierd actually seeing something that you have looked at in brochures. Anyway, I haven't done that much sightseeing to be honest. Done a lot of wandering around to get my bearings. I can't believe that renting a flat is actually cheaper than a youth hostel. For 50GBP you can get a room in a central flat with all bills paid and they have a garden!!!!!!!! Oh that awful bermondsey tower block just seems so far away now thank god! Everything here is a lot cheaper and the standard of living is high. So I am spending the day job and flat hunting. Once I get myself a little more sorted I'll be touring up the east coast in between working but at the moment I'want to get to know this city, where potentially I could live for the next few years if I wish. So job hunting and flat hunting for me today as well as updating you all with lovely images of what I have done so far. Had some fantastic nights out and met some great people. Going on a pub crawl tonight as my room mate is leaving Sydeny soon so we thought we better do some sightseeing........... mmm maybe not the type that I should be doing hehe!
