Well after almost 2 months we have crossed this great country of ours. It has been a terrific journey so far. We have enjoyed the people we have met along the way and visiting some old friends as well. The weather for the most part has been very good. The RV parks with the exception of 2 have been fabulous, although a lot less busy than we expected. We didn't really need to make reservations except for near bigger cities - ie Ottawa, Toronto etc. Our only complaint would be the mosquitoes and deer flies, could do with out them. Fuel prices haven't been too bad, our diesel costs range from $.94 to $1.14 (once we got hit with $1.34 but it was a remote location).

The picture on this blog is of us leaving Pippy Regional Park campground in St. John's beginning our homeward bound trek. This park was right smack in the city and 5 or 10 minutes away from anything in St. John's you could possibly want to see or do. Really lovely private sites with lots of vegetation to keep the cats happy.

We are on the 11:45 Ferry to Sydney NS tomorrow morning 6 to 8 hours depending on the weather. Then we have a few places in the Maritimes still to see, then into the USA to visit friends in Chicago and Minniapolis. We will be driving back via the northern states and back into Canada near Grand Forks about mid September.
