Just returned from Antelope Valley & Joshua Tree National Parks.
Antelope Valley had no poppies due to lack of rain :( however Mom (Elsie) & I persevere. We found a feline rescue private preserve that was unbelievable. It is just 10 mi out of Lancaster. They had the greatest variety of exotic large cats I have ever seen. What a beautiful home they have made for these displaced animals.
Next day we were off to visit Joshua Tree National Forest. Beautiful trees, rocks & skies. Temp was low 50's & windy. We got great photos. Will download those later.
