This is the first entry on my blog, sorry it hasnt come straight away but its been a busy few days!! Arrived in bangkok after a hefty flight, but an absolutely fine one! Got the bus to our hostel which dropped us right outside which was handy.. we settled in, had a shower and then headed straight out onto khoasan road, which is absolutely insane.. we've never seen anythin like it!! We walked about 100metres and in that time were approached by about 50 thai's trying to take us to certain "shows involving ping pongs" and about 20 hookers.. greg loved it!! haha..joke! We found a bar/restaurant and had a bite to eat! Then started chatting to a fellow brit backpacker.. a few beers later we join groups with 2 lads, 1 from brazil and 1 from germany.. things quickly shifted gears into a bit of a beer session, it was fun and we were feelin really great about the idea of being the other side of the world for so long! The next day, with ever so slight hangovers we went back to the airport and got a flight to koh samuii, for more money than id care to mention however..but you live and learn! Koh samui is incredible.. hot weather, beautiful beaches, that you can see in the piccys and where the beer flows like wine!! :-) Since arriving in koh samuii we have done little thansun bathe (gregs literally black already, its a disgrace) and we went out with some more lads we met on the beach..oh and we came across one of the greatest beach games ever involving a frisbee and trying to hit a can off a stick.. its ace! Weather has taken a turn for the worse now tho and its howling it down, still have to wear shorts tho as its ridiculously humid! Tonight we are taking a brief trip to koh phangan for the black moon party with some of the guys we met..should be really good fun! And thats pretty much where we are so far, its only been a few days tho so no big trips or ightseeing has been done, but all in good time.. just adjusting to this crazy place takes long enough..
