Sightseeing day- went to Agra Fort (the audio guide helped make the experience very interesting).
The second place of fatehpur sikri was an altogether different experience: first we had a short drive on an overcrowded bus ; then had to walk around the place without my shoes On hot stone floors jumping to the rugs that were periodically laid down (avoiding the bird droppings.....) ; then there was the actual temple bit (people tied red ribbons, made wishes, gave offerings of flowers and silk scarves to receive blessings..... uncomfortable experience for me) I did not do any of that just gave a donation to the monument up keep and charity. The beggars and people trying to sell stuff was claustrophobic, however we do get to stay another night at the Radisson back to luxury and a hot shower :)
Point to note that to date we have been to four states in India: Delhi; Haryana; Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh in as many days!
