Around The World & back with Mandy
The bus to Phonm Penn was a lot better and we have managed to check ourselves into a really good guest house on the lake for only 3 dollars a night - bargain!!! Phnom Penns places of interest, apart from the monastrys and markets are features from the genocide that happened 20 years ago. Whilst here I have been reading alot on their history and it really is on the same scale as the Jewush Genocide during the war if not worse - I did not take many pictures here as parts were very sad to see.
We visited the killing fields and prison and saw so many pictures, clothes and bones of the people that had been killed here.
One thing to have started up in Cambodia as a result of the war to earn money is the shotting range where boys can practice with big guns if they want a paper target - I was quite relived at this becuause I had heard they used animals as tragets - just paper though. WE managed to get ourselves around Phon Penn using mopeds which was good and were then able to chill out by the lake at night - really nice would definitely visit Cambodia again!!!!
